I’m Alison, the travel planner behind Crompton Travel Tailor – where your next adventure begins. I combine a love of culture, exploration, and relaxation with years of hands-on travel experience to help you plan trips tailored to you.
A bit about me:
I grew up in Keswick in the Lake District, where my parents ran a guesthouse, so hospitality and adventure have been part of my life from the very start. By the age of 10, I was plotting walking routes over the fells and around Derwentwater, and I’ve been exploring ever since.
My career in fashion design took me on regular work trips to China, Europe, India and the US. Along the way, I squeezed in as many personal adventures as possible, travelling through Vietnam, Thailand, Mexico, Croatia, and 9 months across South America. The planning part has always brought me as much joy as the travel itself, and that’s what inspired me to launch Crompton Travel Tailor.

I take the stress out of travel planning, so you can focus on making memories. Whether it’s a sun-drenched beach break, a scenic hike, or a vibrant city escape, I’ll curate a trip that fits your style, pace, and budget, right down to the little details.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all holidays. I take the time to get to know your travel preferences, interests, and quirks, and tailor each itinerary to suit you. I also draw on my own travel experiences and insider connections to recommend unique places you might not find online.
